Studio Brief 02 - Information Design - Chosen Idea and potential designs

SPEED AWARENESS 

My chosen design idea is the 1st one, that explores the perspective of a speeding driver and the consequences it can have on other human lives.

I aim to target an adult audience and exploit the idea of how speeding can danger a child's life.

Tone of voice: serious, dramatic, high impact, blunt, emotionally manipulative.

Imagery: simplistic.

Typography: strong, defining, attention grabbing, bold. 

I decided to choose this idea over the child target audience concept, due to the more open and larger ways of expressing the theme shown in my chosen clip. I did not want to just potentially copy the imagery and childlike themes it gives off, but instead explore a flip-side perspective and create a solid leaflet that targets this. Also, there is a possibility there is more facts and information that can be communicated with an adult target audience. When designing a concept for a child the information displayed has to be conveyed in a way it can be understood and be interesting enough for them to want to engage with it. Being careful with the message behind the design is something I do not want to be conscious of as I would prefer to design a more serious, gripping and convincing leaflet that can invoke an emotional response.
