Nest - Moon photography - Changing my idea/crit

The weather is something I did not consider as an issue before I began my development of my initial idea. Last night I felt quite drafted and frustrated. I do not want to let this idea go as I feel it could be a strong outcome.

The flow of the idea has been disrupted, which now means I need to give the design idea a new purpose I can work with.

Decided it would be best to get a fresh opinion on which direction this can be taken in. Here are a couple of ideas I presented as part of a group crit in the studio to get some feedback.

1. Keep the clouded shots in or show them as blanks to showcase a real and honest journey.

FEEDBACK

  • Might look inconsistent
  • A clear image of the moon contrasted next to a cloudy/blurry image like the one I got
  • Although it would be honest, would it look good?

2. After some research into the Moon, one option is to follow its monthly cycle.

FEEDBACK

  • Gives you a chance to document a full cycle instead of 1/4 (7 days) of it.
  • Allows you more chances and time to get a shot of each moon shape as they each will probably last a few days each
From the feedback I've decided to go with the second idea. Having a month to take the photos gives me more chances to achieve the correct shots, I want to showcase each stage of moon and if the weather gets in the way of a clear shot again. I now have a few days of chances to get the shot as each stage lasts for that time.
