Presentation :
The design of the presentation was kept minimal with lots of negative space. This was to enhance the quality of the images and to concentrate on them alone with no preconceptions or design influences that could be purposely or unintentionally communicating.
The images included in the presentation were chosen due to their differences between each other, each communicate a different vibe which is very much what the NQ is about. Getting across the diversity within the photography is important to show as it will hopefully give divergent opinions on the possible directions the project could go follow.
Here are the notes I took with me to the presentation.
Feedback:
- Received encouraging feedback to reshoot/include in extra photos taken with a 35 mm film camera. It adds aesthetic and more context as it relates to the inspiration of the NQ - especially capturing different elements of the NQ other than just type.
- Digital photos were said to be "very professional looking" and "something that could be easily seen in a independent publication"
- Capturing the essence of the NQ is something really interesting to document as it is such a unique and individual place
