Manchester is a city filled with culture, history and interesting sites that are worth documenting. Here are a few areas I could explore throughout the Manchester region.
1. Salford
I am very familiar with Salford as I studied their as part of my A-Levels. It's an area that I find quite visually interesting. It's urban landscape captures lots of elements of city life.
Here are some snaps I got using my Olympus digital. I just explored the area and photographed what looked aesthetically pleasing to me. Me and two friends spent the day capturing the different elements of the urban environment, whether it was people, buildings, tunnels, walk ways etc... We also did a shoot on an abandoned building site on the edge of Salford. This was done just to get an idea of how the area comes across through photos and it has given me a visual mood board to work with.
Within the summer brief it states that typography is to be included within the shots.
I explored a lot of the tunnels/pathways in central salford where I found to be lots of graffiti and sprawled hand rendered type on walls etc... this really reflects the urban theme.
